I Thessalonians 2:13
God’s work in me
is internal. The Holy Spirit is sent to
live within me, to make my soul a hospitable place for the Father and the Son
to come and dwell within me. It is
beyond my thinking but somehow I know it is true. I see the results of this full house
indwelling everyday, in little things that I do, the way I think, and the
feeling that I have. This fruit is not of
my doing. It is something that is being
worked within me, growing silently within me.
This growth is not
something that happens instantaneously.
It is being worked and seasoned.
I can’t explain it, but I am experiencing it, day by day. It is a working within the secret place of my
soul and I treasure both the work and the fruit. It transforms information into inspiration,
head knowledge into heart knowing, teaching into treasure, and the flesh of the
self into the fruit of the Spirit.
It is God’s Word
working within my soul, forming me into who I was created to BE. It is working at making me BE what I am meant
to DO.
