THE JOY OF SUBMISSION

Jesus Christ took my sins and the sins of the world upon Himself.  He was nailed to a cross.  My sins were nailed to that cross and died there with Him.  My sins are included in His final proclamation, “It Is Finished”.  When He died my sins died.  When He arose He was fresh and purified, in the next realm.  That is my journey.

All is nailed to the cross; not only the sins of wrong doing but the humiliation, the betrayal, the things wrongly done to me.  They are all gone.  They must go because if kept alive they will draw me into the temptation of hate, revenge, and a plea for punishment and justice.

Those who know they need a Savior will find one.  Those who are broken will know they need to be repaired and restored.  Those who know they are in bondage to the past will know they need a redeemer.  “Lord be merciful, a sinner”.

There is no excuse for bad behavior because of bad behavior for those who follow God.  I need to look to Jesus as an example.  There was no hatred, no retaliation, no revenge or plea for punishment or justice.  There was simply love and a desire for people to turn to God and be in relationship with Him.

There is no room for self sufficiency when walking with God.  He works within a relationship.  He walks with me as I walk through life; as my God, my mentor, my advisor, my friend, my most excellent Father.  It is a joy to be in submission to Him.  He is a benevolent Ruler over all.
