I was born into a
human body made of flesh and ruled by human nature. But God breathed the breath of His Holy
Spirit into me. That Spirit is on a
different plane and is ruled by a Divine nature. At some point in time I must choose which
plane I live on, which nature I will obey, which nature I will feed, which
nature I will follow.
Enlightenment is
mine if I choose to receive it and believe in the One who gives it. Jesus Christ is “The true light, which
enlightens everyone…To all who receive Him, who believe in His name, He gave
the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John1:9,12).
If I reject Him
and don’t believe in His name, I am left only to my own human nature, which is
finite and futile. The choice is mine to
make freely.
