STOP TRYING TO CONTAIN GOD

We run and try to catch the wind of the Spirit

We capture it and contain it

And we are delighted

But the wind of the Spirit once captured and contained

Cannot move about and eventually dies.

We want Jesus to be who we want Him to be

The King who will defeat the enemy government system

The teacher who will teach in line with the religious system

But Jesus doesn’t put Himself into the hands of man

He allows Himself to be captured and contained

For He must die so we can be truly free to live.

It is not man’s place to capture, contain, or control God

God cannot be put into a box and neatly labeled

So let’s stop trying

Let’s stop striving after the wind

Let’s stop trying to catch and contain Someone

Who cannot be caught or contained

We keep trying to hold onto Someone

Who cannot be held onto, but we can only be touched by

We keep trying to form

And end up constantly reforming

Will we ever truly learn the lesson spoken clearly…

“My thoughts are not your thoughts

Neither are My ways your ways

For as the heavens are higher than the earth

So are My ways higher than your ways

And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

Let us simply BE Still and know that

GOD is GOD
